Adam Conover
Adam Conover is a writer, comedian, and standup comic best known as the creator and host of Adam Ruins Everything and The G Word. He has served as a member of the Writers Guild of America, West Board of Directors. He can’t dance but loves choreography.
Beverly Bautista
Beverly Bautista is a dance artist, university educator, choreographer, and co-owner of Dance Education Equity Association. She received a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and a master of fine arts from the University of California-Irvine. Drawing from her years of experience in the entertainment hub of Los Angeles, Beverly has also had the privilege to work on projects with Disney, Pepsi, the Billboard Music Awards, Lip Sync Battle, and iHeart Radio to name a few. With her extensive dance education and industry experience, she aims to foster the connection between dance academia students and the entertainment industry. Continuously driven by her dedication to the dance community, Beverly remains an ardent advocate for fellow choreographers, striving to cultivate a sense of unity within the collective dance continuum.
Craig Baylis
A former professional dancer and choreographer himself (Will Smith, Dr. Dre, Johnny Gill, and Boyz II Men among others), Craig jokingly refers to himself as washed up; compelled to, yet prideful about completing his studies at HBCU, Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mass media. He has worked extensively in the recording industry, namely for Warner Records and Epic Records in product management, artist relations and tour marketing, which led to his role at SAG-AFTRA as National Manager, Music Strategies, in addition to dancer and choreographer organizing from ’15-’20. Following his tenure at SAG-AFTRA, he has continued to volunteer as an advisor to founding leader members of what is now Choreographers Guild. He’s the proprietor of Eighth & Groove, an LA-based music publishing and media think tank (Drake, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Kodak Black, City Girls, dvsn, and G-Eazy). Craig is a current member of SAG-AFTRA and the Recording Academy.
Emily Wanserski
With 13+ years of experience in LA’s creative economy, Emily Wanserski collaborates with artists of all disciplines to build sustainable careers and organizations. Co-founder of the Center for Provocative Thought, a residency space for unconventional ideas, and JUMPSTART/LA, a summer program dedicated to supporting early/mid-career dancers in their endeavor to build a sustainable career, Emily believes in strategic doing (over planning), dynamic experimentation, and meticulous evaluation.
Gabriella Ziccarelli
Gabriella Ziccarelli is an award-winning legal advisor, author, guest lecturer, podcast host, and dancer. She is a zealous advocate who brings over a decade of experience as an intellectual property legal specialist to the Choreographers’ Guild Advisory Council. Gabriella has devoted her career to supporting innovators & creators from all backgrounds – ranging from individual artists to startups to Fortune 5 companies. The breadth and depth of Gabriella’s expertise in the intellectual property field includes successfully securing intellectual property rights for creators, negotiating strategic licenses to help creators monetize their work, litigating intellectual property infringement disputes in jury trials, navigating complex regulatory frameworks, and much more.
Geri Brown
Geri Brown is a creator, producer, and educator whose work is threaded in breaking barriers for all. As an educator, Geri’s emphasis is on career development and equitable practices as the Director of Commercial Dance at Loyola Marymount University. She is the founder of dance education organization Liberate Artists INC, which builds confidence and promotes social growth in young people, and serves as the President of the non-profit Always, Enough Foundation, which provides financial aid for dancers to train at their home studios, summer dance intensives, and on convention. Geri is honored to be of service to the Intersectionality Committee for the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science and is a proud Advisory Council Member focusing on DEIA and education at Choreographers Guild. As a creator and producer, Geri runs Boundary Issues Media, a digital and traditional media company that utilizes multiple platforms to tell one story or topic through the lens of underrepresented identities. From educator to producer to creator, Geri inspires all to create positive change, in the positions in which they hold power, while continuing to remind communities everywhere that, “You Are Enough,” exactly as you are, in the skin and body you are in.”
Hui Cha Poos
Hui has been teaching dance at the University of Central Oklahoma for over 20
years, has been selected as one of “6 Theatre Workers You Should Know” by
American Theatre Publication, and has won countless awards including the
Governor’s Arts Award for Arts in Education, Artist of the Year by the Paseo Arts
Association, Women Who Inspire Award-UCO, and the Founders Day Award for
Oklahoma Contemporary. Hui’s core passion is activating dance within her
community, and she has created opportunities like RACE Dance Collective, the
Calderon Dance Festival and Cure-8 Choreography Experience launching fall of
24’ to do that. She continues to find new ways of growth for dance in Oklahoma
and is delighted to be on the Advisory Council for the Choreographers Guild.
